BLUSHING BAR

Pohon red oak hanya tumbuh secara alami dan hampir secara eksklusif di kawasan Amerika Utara, meskipun bisa ditanam di tempat lain. Mereka tersebar luas di sebagian besar Amerika Serikat bagian timur di hutan hardwood campuran. Pohonnya tumbuh sangat tinggi. Ada banyak subspesies dalam klasifikasi pohon red oak, yang tumbuh dari wilayah utara hingga selatan; beberapa tumbuh di daerah pegunungan yang tinggi, dan sebagian lainnya tumbuh di dataran rendah, sehingga menimbulkan karakteristik yang berbeda. PERTUMBUHAN HUTAN
Data FIA menunjukkan bahwa persediaan American red oak berada di angka 2,62 miliar m3, 18% dari jumlah persediaan hardwood Amerika. Pertumbuhan American red oak mencapai 50,6 juta m3 per tahun sedangkan hasil panennya mencapai 31,9 juta m3 per tahun. Volume bersih (setelah pemanenan) meningkat sebesar 28,7 juta m3 setiap tahunnya. Pertumbuhan American red oak melebihi atau seimbang dengan hasil panen di semua negara bagian, kecuali Texas.
