MATTEO THUN

Matteo Thun, architect and designer, was born in Bolzano in 1952. He studied at the Salzburg Academy with Oskar Kokoschka and at the University of Florence. He was a professor of design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst, Wien) from 1983 to 2000. In 1984 he opened his own studio in Milan and became the Art Director for Swatch from 1990 to 1993. As part of Matteo Thun & Partners he develops projects in the fields of architecture, interior design and product design.

MARNI

Marni is a luxury brand founded in 1994. Its subtle and subversive design celebrates individuality through an unpredictable visual language of graphic rigor. The aesthetic paradigm is characterised by an experimental approach to materials and colors, and a unique flair for mixing prints and shapes. RIVA 1920

All was born in 1920 from a family workshop working only solid wood. In 1992 RIVA changes into a company thanks to the collaboration with very important international designers and architects; the company promotes important projects connecting “solid wood” business with arts, architecture and design touching the social consciousness, sustainability and care for the environment. Today RIVA is characterized by the use of American reforestation wood and re-used woods like Kauri, millennial wood from New Zealand, Venetian Briccole and scented cedarwood from Lebanon. RIVA 1920 products challenge time by respecting the nature, telling a story to generation to come about the excellence Made in Italy.

INTERNI is the leading Italian magazine for interiors and contemporary design, reporting on innovative trends and the modern culture of living for an international audience. Their annual exhibition is hosted at Salone del Mobile in Milan. Salone del Mobile is the largest gathering of the design community in the world with more than 270,000 visitors from more than 150 countries worldwide. INTERNI OPEN BORDERS in 2016 seeks to challenge the borderlines between Architecture and Design through freedom of expression and experimentation.
