Ed Swan was presented with five American hardwoods, ash, cherry, hard maple and red oak, and challenged to create something inspired by the material and the number five. Using all five species, he set about designing a selection of products which demonstrated his creative flair as well as the beauty, colour and performance of American hardwoods.
