The Shift Series stools and side tables, designed by Ed Swan, were made by Adam Kershaw and utilise all five American hardwood species, tulipwood, ash, cherry, hard maple and red oak. Adam’s role as the fabricator is to preserve the visual intention of Ed Swan’s design while guiding him through the working qualities of American hardwood. The pentagon frames of each stool or side table are made from American red oak and clad with the five different species in different orientations. The top of each unit is thermally modified tulipwood.
