Hay Festival 2012, Segovia

Over three hundred volunteers and students from the City of Segovia helped to break a record in AHEC's biggest collaborative project yet. Forming a human chain running over 200m up the hill from the Roman Aqueduct to the Segovia Design School in Casa de los Picos, the local volunteers helped to transport crafted American tulipwood blocks in a project devised by Architect Fermin Gonzalez Blanco and his students at IE University. Using Gonzalez Blanco's patented a system called 'Lupo' the students created two complementary structures at the festival -- 'Acueducto' and 'Esponja'.
