Freddie Jackson | 2018

Freddie was commissioned to create a drinks cabinet for a 17th century house so approached the design with a more traditional style to match its new home, looking towards the work of Phillip Koomen for inspiration. The piece is a combination of solid red oak and red oak veneers used in the back panels and inner panels.

“Originally I was intending to only select the clean defect free timber but the restriction and allocation of the red oak forced me to embrace the knots, marks and colour variation.”
