Sebastian Cox treated the letters of the word ‘ENJOY’ as if they were a cabinet – with solid sides and tops. The main consideration when working with their chosen species of American hardwood was movement especially making a six-sided shape with conflicting grain directions. Making each element as though it was a piece of furniture makes the whole thing stable and sturdy.
