From the vast selection of fonts that Monotype creates, furniture designer and maker Sebastian Cox chose to replicate the typeface ‘Unica’ in a large wooden bench. He and his team wanted something simple and sans serif. It would have been an enormous challenge to apply their furniture-making techniques to a serif font in wood.
