RCR Arquitectes’ vision for their design is to fuse highly technological methods with the subtlety of natural forms, in order to obtain a fascinating object not only visually, but also for the other senses, especially touch.

Since RCR Architects began to design Javier Cercas’ dream, they drew inspiration from microbodies, petals and other natural structures, to endow the object with a poetic silhouette. In parallel, they relied on cutting-edge technology, such as a digital body scan, the results of which would then inform the shape of the piece.
