Natural Connections events

Re-connect with wood: new design languages for a sustainable future. Inma Bermúdez & Moritz Krefter (Studio Inma Bermúdez), Álvaro Catalán de Ocón and Jorge Penadés.

We have been building with wood for over 10,000 years, and yet today we increasingly talk of wood as though it were a newly discovered architectural material – an extraordinary innovation uniquely placed to solve the problems of the age and the social and environmental challenges we now face. The truth is there’s nothing new about wood – what is new is the way we think about what we can do with it. Join us for a roundtable discussion with Pilar Marcos and the designers of Natural Connections (Inma Bermúdez & Moritz Krefter, Jorge Penadés and Alvaro Catalán de Ocón) to dive deeper into their forward-thinking concepts and exploratory work with three versatile and highly sustainable U.S. hardwoods; cherry, red oak and maple.
