“When so much time, thought and creative energy has been invested in a project over such a long period, the associated emotions are complex, but when I first saw the work my overwhelming emotion was relief. Relief that all of our toil has resulted in such a beautifully resolved collection of work. You can never be sure how a design will feel until you see it in the flesh, and I was so relieved to see the beautiful detailing of these pieces, their interplay with light and the richness of their materiality.

For me, this collection is the physical embodiment of the friendships that have formed between Tanya, Errol and I over the past 3 years. When we first met in Railway Bore to start the project, we were strangers, coming together to create something we all hoped would be great. Over this period we have met each others' families, spent time in each others' communities and dedicated countless hours to working together in person and over the phone. Our friendships were formed at the same time as the objects, so for me the two are inextricably linked.

As with all projects, I hope that audiences will love the work. I hope they will be affected by the marginal climate change narratives at the core of the project, and inspired by the ways that Tanya, Errol and I have given form to these narratives. Lastly I hope that audiences will appreciate the extreme skill and attention to detail of Chris Nicholson and the Mast team in crafting these works”
