The Tulou screen, designed by Andrew Haythornthwaite and Peter Marigold, was made by Adam Kershaw and utilised American hardwood tulipwood and red oak. Adam’s role as the fabricator is to preserve the visual intention of their design while guiding the design duo through the working qualities of American hardwood. Each tulipwood triangle within the screen sits perched on a tensile wire and is held in place with a red oak counter balance.
