“When we founded Kam Ce Kam, our aim was to promote Indian craftsmanship in a contemporary way. One way of doing this was to introduce incredible materials to the craftsmen, that would help set the pieces apart. We found that Indian timbers alone wouldn’t provide the versatility we needed in the pieces and we also found it hard to always source sustainably. Through collaborating with AHEC on the REMAKE project, we are introducing a new and exciting material into the collection, which is sustainable, durable and beautiful.”

"Working with these incredible timbers has been an amazing experience. India has a limited variety of timbers available and so it has been a great opportunity to use these materials in our pieces. They strongly support our aesthetic, with the natural depth of the material enhancing our designs. Furthermore, the quality of the timber from both a tooling angle and the end product has been admirable.”
