Making at Benchmark

The bookstand folds and has been machined with hinges in American red oak, rather than metal hinges. In fact, all the bookstand’s joints are made out of timber. The pivot joint at the top of the stand was designed so that the rails line up exactly when the bookstand is folded that the book can rest on. Benchmark also gave them the idea to collaborate with a bookbinder to create a folded cover.
