External Review was a highlight of this year's Sydney Design Week. At the launch event held at the Australian Design Centre, following a welcome and Acknowledgement of Country by ADC Director, Lisa Cahill, Rod Wiles from the American Hardwood Export Council introduced the collaboration. Highlighting the misconceptions regarding forestry that often exist, Rod explained the selective harvesting approach taken in the American hardwood forest and the natural regeneration of the resource. He pointed to the importance of practicing sustainable management but also of using what the forest provides, namely a range of species. 

The event was attended by recognisable faces from across the Australian Design Industry.
