Studio Swine has designed a throne-style chair, which contrasts a solid seat and back leg, with curved steam bent front legs, arms and backrest. Their table uses a smooth clean piece of American cherry, with the straight leg profile visible through the top as end grain. An inset laptop shelf acts as a tensioning brace for the table.
The pieces have been finished with an interesting combination of subtle hand carved chisel-marks, contrasting with much wider shallow marks machined via CNC. This effect will be applied to the outer legs of the table, and the seat and outer back leg of the chair, with the inner legs left smooth.
