Along the Lines of Happiness is made from American red oak, soft maple and cherry, making it a low carbon piece of design. These timbers grow abundantly in the American hardwood forests, at a much greater rate than they are harvested. Their respective net volumes increase by 21.3 million m³, 21.6 million m³ and 7.4 million m³ each year.
