Endless Stair - adding a new dimension to timber in construction

This film tells the story of Endless Stair, a towering Escher-like structure that was erected outside Tate Modern in September 2013 for the London Design Festival. Made from American tulipwood CLT, it was an exciting exploration of space and form that also pioneered the use of a new material, and acted as a research project. It was designed by dRMM and engineered by Arup.
