Esvee Atelier will be remaking three of their existing designs using American red oak, white oak and hard maple.

We have always admired the beauty of oak, both red and white and it is definitely a personal favorite. Oak is a favorite for any woodworker and we are no exception. We have been fascinated with the beauty of the grain structure in oak and how well oak responds to stains and oils which highlight the grains further.

The design of the COMET console and KALUVA coffee table displays the beauty of the wood in its best form, and tells its story through time and hence we have selected American white oak and red oak respectively for these two designs.

We have chosen American hard maple for our FLAMINGO server. Maple is a new material that we haven’t gotten our hands on yet, and hence we have selected the wood purely out of curiosity which is the best attribute to describe the quirkiness of the design.
