’String theory’: Sam Weller used tensioned strings to hold discrete elements together in creating this stool. Because manufacture was relatively straightforward, Weller had the time to make stools in a variety of timbers. It is possible to disassemble and reassemble the stools, although doing this presents a daunting intellectual puzzle. They could work as occasional stools in a home, or be taken outside for special events, since they are light enough to carry easily.
