At Benchmark, components for the dressing screen were cut out using a CNC machine and any unwanted bits removed using a jigsaw. Max also wanted to experiment with colour, as the porosity of the red oak makes it ideal for absorbing colour. Teal blue dye was pushed deep into the pores of the wood and the wood was then sanded, leaving it a subtle blue hue.
