The simple and strong benches, designed by Liliana Ovalle, were made by Adam Kershaw and utilise American tulipwood which is light in weight but very strong. Adam’s role as the fabricator is to preserve the visual intention of Lilianna Ovalle’s design while guiding her through the working qualities of American hardwood. The battens are machined in different thicknesses along their length to create a visual effect of changing density and perception.
