Woods Bagot und Elan Construct schafften im kultigen Paramount House, im Herzen des Stadtteils Surry Hills in Sydney, Gemeinschaftsbüroräume, in denen Funktionalität, Ästhetik und Luxus nahtlos ineinandergreifen. Sie verwendeten American Walnut (Walnuss).

The Smile (Das Lächeln) ist das ehrgeizigste Konstrukt aus Brettsperrholz aller Zeiten. Es wurde für das London Design Festival vom Architekturbüro Alison Brooks architects entworfen und mit Brettsperrholz aus American Tulip (Tulpenbaum) von Arup gebaut.

AUDITORIUM IN CASTELLÓN
Einer der bedeutendsten spanischen Architekten, Carlos Ferrater, nutzte American Maple (Ahorn) im neuen Auditorium und Kongresszentrum von Castellón in der Region von Valencia (Spanien). Er setzte bei diesem großen öffentlichen Bauauftrag amerikanische Laubhölzer ein, um Eleganz und Zweckmäßigkeit miteinander zu vereinen.

At AHEC we strive to change the way people think about hardwood as a material. We have seen a revolution in the way timber is used and it’s creating all sorts of new opportunities. Many hardwoods have a performance that can’t be ignored, which can provide huge benefits to designers, architects and engineers. This is something we communicate through our own creative projects, capture in our case studies of work from others and demonstrate through examples of use; providing new and exciting references of how American hardwoods are the perfect material in terms of form and function.
