Designed by Swedish-Chilean Anton Alvarez, the concept for Tree Furniture is that it should be carved simply from a tree cut down and left on the forest floor where it has been cut.

The initial project brief provided by London Design Festival and AHEC, challenged Amanda Levete Architects (AL_A) and engineering company Arup to design a structure which would manifest the strength and beauty of American red oak.
