Too Good to Waste posed a unique and enjoyable test for the Benchmark team. The design studio and workshop have collaborated closely to work through design challenges quickly, thinking together, on their feet. Oliver Tilbury says, “we simulated how furniture was going to hinge, move or slide as much as we could on the computer but the majority of our thinking and problem solving has happened at the workbench, tools in hand.”
Effectively the team have been live prototyping beautifully crafted furniture with no opportunity in the schedule for ‘second go’s’. The efficiency and immaculate quality of their work is testament to the experience and skills the Benchmark team possess.
