Sortierung
Die Sortiervorschriften für amerikanisches Laubschnittholz wurden von der National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) entworfen und stellen den nationalen Standard für die US Laubholzindustrie dar. Sie bilden die Basis für die Sortierung von Exportholz.
Die während der Bearbeitung stattfindende Sortierung von Schnittholz in Kategorien ermöglicht weitgehend die Bestimmung des Wertes und der möglichen Verwendung von jedem Brett Schnittholz.
